The members of P1Harmony say their team came together on short notice, when a director called all six to the gym at FNC Entertainment. They come from Korea, Canada and Japan. Leader Keeho grew up in Canada and passed FNC's global auditions in 2017. Jongseob had already won the last season of SBS's K-pop Star. In October 2020 a pre-debut film, P1H: The Beginning of a New World, introduced the six. Their debut EP, Disharmony: Stand Out, followed that same month with "Siren".
Much of P1Harmony's success started outside Korea. Their first tour in 2022 took them to Seoul and eight US cities. The following year Harmony: All In became their first entry on the Billboard 200. At home, the turn came with the first full album, Killin' It, in 2024. It gave them their first music show win, on Music Bank, and their first No. 1 album in Korea. It also topped Billboard's World Albums chart.
From the start P1Harmony told a hero story. Keeho described "Siren" as a majestic song with a heroic vibe. Their first six EPs ran in two series, Disharmony and Harmony, and "Doom Du Doom" opened the second with upbeat hip-hop. "Sad Song" in 2024 was their first try at a Latin-inspired sound. A year later came EX, their first English-language record, with "Dancing Queen" co-written by Intak. The name combines "plus", "one" and "harmony": six members creating many different harmonies.
All six members are still active together. EX gave them their first top 10 on the Billboard 200. The ninth EP, Unique, went further in March 2026, debuting at No. 4 and setting a group record for first-week sales. Its story picks up the hero concept again: the members return after declaring a strike in the previous release. A Japan edition with two new songs followed that summer, along with the Be Unique shows in Taipei, Macao and Bangkok.
