Star Empire's girl group went through four line-ups and had its biggest hit late, with "One More Time" in 2008. In 2026 the 2002 line-up sang together again for the first time in 20 years.

Their story

A slow start at Star Empire

Jewelry debuted on Star Empire in March 2001 with the album Discovery and the song "I Love You". Sales were weak, and by the second album two of the four had been replaced: Seo In-young and Jo Min-ah joined Park Jung-ah and Lee Ji-hyun. That second line-up is the one fans saw together again in 2026.

"One More Time"

"I Really Like You" on the third album and "Superstar" in 2005 raised their profile, and both albums were big hits in Korea. Then Lee Ji-hyun and Jo Min-ah left. Kim Eun-jung and Ha Ju-yeon came in, and the new four-piece's first single, "One More Time" from Kitchi Island, became the biggest hit of their career. It won the digital daesang at the Golden Disc Awards that year.

From cute to club

They followed the trends rather than one fixed sound. Beloved in 2003 had a cute concept. "One More Time" five years later was dance-pop on a house beat, and it won an Mnet award in the house and electronic category. Two sub-unit pairs, both called Jewelry S, tried a smaller format in 2009 and 2011, and the group also had a Japanese career on Giza Studio from 2004.

Where they are now

Park Jung-ah and Seo In-young left in 2010, and Park Se-mi and Kim Ye-won took their places. The group struggled to win back its earlier popularity. When the last contracts ran out in 2014, Star Empire confirmed the end of Jewelry in January 2015. Twenty years after they last stood on one stage, Park, Lee, Seo and Jo reunited in 2026: first on Seo's YouTube channel in June, then on KBS2's Immortal Songs in September. No new release has been announced.
