Their story
A village with a secret
Billlie is the first girl group from Mystic Story, the agency founded by Yoon Jong-shin. Six members debuted in November 2021 with "RING X RING", a song that opens with a siren and is about a mysterious event in a village. Sheon joined as the seventh member just over a week later. From the first EP the group built its own story world, with album titles like the Billage of perception and the collective soul and unconscious.
Two years of waiting for seven
The early run was quick: "GingaMingaYo (the strange world)", the retro "Patbingsu" with Yoon himself, and "RING ma Bell". Then the line-up thinned. In 2023 Moon Sua and Suhyeon took a break, and five members promoted "DANG! (hocus pocus)". Both came back in April 2024. That summer Billlie opened their first world tour, Our FLOWERLD, in Munich, and in October all seven released "remembrance candy", with lyrics by IU.
Sirens, fairy tales and bass house
Billlie's songs tend to come with a puzzle attached. The group calls its world the Billlieverse, linking music, performance and visuals. The sound moves around: indie pop on "remembrance candy", industrial hip-hop over bass house on "WORK". "$ECRET no more" even borrows from Swan Lake. The members write more now too. Moon Sua, Haram and Siyoon all have lyric credits on the latest album.
Where they are now
In 2025 Moon Sua and Siyoon tried something new as the group's first sub-unit, with "Snap". All seven returned in January 2026 with "cloud palace ~ false awakening", a song fans had first heard at the fourth-anniversary fan meeting. The first full album followed in May, with "ZAP" and "WORK" as a double lead. It is their first full-length record in four and a half years, with twelve tracks.
