Their story
From first place to his own label
Kang Daniel topped the Produce 101 Season 2 final and spent a year and a half in Wanna One. When the project ended in January 2019, he did not join a big agency. He set up KONNECT Entertainment and released his first EP, Color on Me, from there in July 2019.
A colour for every record
"What Are You Up To" won Music Bank two weeks after release. The EPs that followed were named after colours too: Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. In between, "Paranoia" showed a darker side. His first full album, The Story, arrived in May 2022, and the First Parade tour took him through Asia, Europe and North America.
The dancer starts writing
For years the public saw him as a performer, and as the host of the Mnet dance contests Street Woman Fighter and Street Man Fighter. The writing came later. After his move to ARA in 2024, Glow to Haze carried "Love Game", the first song he composed himself, next to the Latin-tinged title track "Episode". For the English special album PULSEPHASE he did the lyrics, the music and the production.
Where he is now
He spent much of 2025 on the road with the Act tour, from Seoul's Olympic Hall to twelve US cities and Latin America, and said goodbye with two fan concerts at KBS Arena in December. On 9 February 2026 he entered the Army Training Center as an active-duty soldier, with a buzz cut and the words "I'll be back". In its notice, ARA asked FLOWD, as his fans have been called since 2024, to support him until he returns.
