Their story

Solo songs on the side

Jeon Jung-kook was born in Busan and was the youngest of the seven when BTS debuted in 2013. Long before an official solo debut he was singing on his own: "Begin" and "Euphoria" on BTS albums, then "Still With You" in 2020, a song he produced himself. In 2022 he sang "Dreamers" for the FIFA World Cup and joined Charlie Puth on "Left and Right".

Seven

His official solo debut came in the summer of 2023. "Seven", with a verse from Latto, entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1 and topped both of Billboard's global charts in the same week. Its video raced past 100 million views, and the song stayed on Spotify's weekly global chart for years.

Golden

In November came Golden, a pop album built around his nickname within BTS, the Golden Maknae. Jack Harlow raps on "3D", a song that borrows from boy-band pop and went to the top of iTunes charts around the world. The title track, "Standing Next to You", went to No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and later passed 1.4 billion Spotify streams.

Where he is now

A month after Golden he enlisted, on the same day as Jimin. While they served, fans got "Never Let Go", the Disney+ travel series Are You Sure?! with the two of them, and the documentary Jung Kook: I Am Still. He was discharged in June 2025. Since then his focus has been BTS: the album ARIRANG came out in March 2026, and the group has been on the road with its Arirang world tour since April.
