Park Jae-beom was born near Seattle. In September 2008 he debuted as the leader of JYP's 2PM, and a year later he left the group. In July 2010 he was back, with a contract at SidusHQ and the EP Count on Me. Its lead was a Korean take on B.o.B's "Nothin' on You", a song he had already covered online.
The bigger change came in 2013. He founded AOMG and moved from idol pop to hip hop and R&B, with singles like "Joah" and later "Mommae" with Ugly Duck. After Everything You Wanted (2016), the Korean Music Awards named him Musician of the Year in 2017. In 2017 he signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation for the American market and started a second label, H1GHR MUSIC.
He switches between club tracks and soft R&B, and keeps returning to the same collaborators: Gray, Ugly Duck, IU, Hwasa. At the end of 2021 he stepped down as CEO of both his labels. A few months later he launched MORE VISION, opening it with "Ganadara", an easygoing duet with IU. Next to music he also built his own soju brand, Won Soju.
MORE VISION now has its own boy group, LNGSHOT, which debuted in January 2026. In May he put out a joint mixtape with them, 4SHOBOIZ Vol. 2: 4SHOVILLE. His Serenades & Body Rolls tour returned to Seoul for two nights at Jamsil at the end of August. About a week later he released "Daddy" without warning, before taking the tour to the Americas and Europe.
