Their story
Two groups first
Kim Hyun-a joined Wonder Girls at JYP as a young teenager, but her career really took shape at Cube, where she debuted with 4MINUTE in June 2009. Within months she had a solo single as well. "Change" came out in January 2010, before 4MINUTE had even reached its first anniversary.
Bubble Pop!
The breakthrough came in the summer of 2011 with "Bubble Pop!". Its video kept collecting views for years and became the first by a female K-pop soloist to pass 100 million YouTube views. In between, Psy picked her himself for the "Gangnam Style" video.
Partners and labels
Her solo singles stay close to confident dance pop, from "Red" to "Babe" and "Lip & Hip". For three summers in a row a new mini album arrived in August. She keeps finding partners as well: first Hyunseung in Trouble Maker, later Hui and Dawn of PENTAGON in Triple H, and Dawn again on the joint mini album 1+1=1. After 4MINUTE ended she stayed with Cube for two more years, then followed Psy to P Nation, where I'm Not Cool became her first mini album on the new label.
Where she is now
Nabillera was followed by a long quiet spell. She came back on the hip-hop label AT AREA with Attitude and "Q&A", her first release in nearly two years. Her most recent single, "Mrs. Nail", arrived in April 2025 with a teaser that showed off hot pink hair. Its Korean title, 못, is simply the word for a nail. In April 2026 she and AT AREA ended her contract by mutual agreement. She has not announced a new agency since.
