EVERGLOW debuted under Yuehua Entertainment in March 2019 with "Bon Bon Chocolat". The name combines "ever" and "glow". The six original members were E:U, the first leader, Sihyeon, Mia, Onda, Aisha and Yiren. Several had been on screen before. Sihyeon competed on Produce 48 and Onda on Idol School, while Aisha had trained at JYP Entertainment for years before she joined Yuehua.
The first trophy came six months after debut, when "Adios" won on The Show. Their real reach was online. "DUN DUN", the title track of their first EP Reminiscence, became their most-watched video with more than 300 million YouTube views. Four more videos passed 100 million, among them "LA DI DA" and "FIRST". The video for "FIRST" won Best Music Video at the 2021 Asia Artist Awards.
EVERGLOW are known for high-impact dance tracks and performances, from "Bon Bon Chocolat" and "DUN DUN" to "Pirate" on Return of the Girl. They also stepped outside K-pop. In 2022 they recorded "Ghost Light" with the electronic producer TheFatRat, in English and Korean. Later the sound turned industrial, with a texture Bandwagon described as the group's "metallic flavor".
After ZOMBIE in 2024, Yuehua announced that the members' contracts would end the following June. In September 2025 E:U, Sihyeon, Onda and Aisha signed with CHXXTA Company and carried on as a quartet. Sihyeon has led the group since 2021. Their first EP as four, CODE, came out in March 2026, and the members wrote its closing track, "Can't Be Broken", themselves. That same month the RE:CODE world tour opened in Seoul, with stops in North America, Latin America, Europe and Manila.
