&TEAM were the first group from HYBE Labels Japan, now called YX Labels. Four of the nine, K, Nicholas, EJ and Taki, were already known from I-LAND and had their places before the audition show &AUDITION - The Howling - began. The other five were picked on the show in 2022. They debuted in December that year with the EP First Howling: ME, and the wolf image has followed them ever since. Their fans are named LUNÉ, after the moon.
The big jump came in 2025. "Go in Blind", full of wolf and moon imagery, came out in April and was later certified Million by the Japanese record industry. Their first Asia tour started in Aichi in May and reached Seoul in June. On New Year's Eve they made their Kohaku Uta Gassen debut with "FIREWORK", in an arrangement that gave every member a moment.
Most members are Japanese, but EJ is Korean, Nicholas is Taiwanese and Maki has German roots, so the group can work in five languages. The music shifts with each era. "Back to Life" mixed rock and hip-hop for the Korean debut. "Mark on Me" slowed down, with live vocals and smaller moves, and Fuma pointed to SHINee's Taemin as the model. Harua called that album the moment love entered the werewolf story.
Since the Korean debut in October 2025 &TEAM have worked both markets at once. Back to Life won three Korean music shows. In April 2026 the Japanese EP We on Fire took them onto the US Billboard 200. Mark on Me followed in September, and its title track won Music Bank. Their second Asia tour, BLAZE THE WAY, closed with two nights at KSPO Dome in Seoul in early October.
